We sell building materials, timber, fencing, decking, hardware, consumables, accessories and other products through our website.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, specifications, availability and prices are accurate.
However, colours, finishes, grain, textures and other natural characteristics may vary between products.
Timber and other natural materials may also vary in appearance, dimensions and characteristics.
All products are subject to availability.
Stock levels displayed on the website are provided as a guide and may change before an order is processed.
If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you where appropriate and may offer an alternative, delay fulfilment or provide a refund.
Prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (£).
Unless stated otherwise, prices include applicable VAT.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or other obvious inaccuracies.
If an obvious pricing error affects an order, we will contact you before fulfilling the order.
When you place an order through the website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected goods.
An order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
We may contact you if there is a problem with your order, including availability, delivery, payment or pricing.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so.
Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout.
Payments may be processed securely by third-party payment providers.
We do not guarantee that every payment method will always be available.
Goods will normally only be dispatched or made available for collection once the required payment has been successfully received.
We provide local delivery across areas of the North East, subject to availability and site access.
Our delivery area may include Sunderland, Newcastle, Durham, Northumberland, Gateshead and surrounding areas.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we have specifically agreed otherwise.
Orders placed before 2pm may be eligible for next-day delivery where stock, location, vehicle availability and other circumstances allow.
Delivery may be affected by weather, traffic, stock availability, site access and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is suitable and that there is reasonable access for the delivery vehicle.
Kerbside delivery is provided as standard unless otherwise agreed.
We may refuse to enter an unsafe or unsuitable location.
Additional delivery or redelivery charges may apply where access is unsuitable, nobody is available when required, or delivery cannot reasonably be completed.
Goods may be available for collection from our premises during advertised opening hours.
Please ensure that your vehicle is suitable for safely transporting the goods purchased.
Greenwood Building Supplies Ltd is not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable vehicles or unsafe loading arrangements.
We offer trade account facilities to eligible customers.
All credit accounts are subject to status and approval.
We may request information and documentation before approving a trade account.
Trade account applications may take up to seven working days to process.
Credit limits, payment terms and other conditions may apply to approved trade accounts.
Timber is a natural product and may contain variations in colour, grain, knots, moisture content, dimensions and appearance.
Minor variations and natural characteristics do not necessarily constitute defects.
Where timber is cut, prepared or altered to a customer’s requested specification, additional return restrictions may apply.
Customers are responsible for checking measurements, quantities, specifications and suitability before placing an order.
Where our staff provide advice or estimates, including fencing quantity calculations, these are provided as guidance and should be checked against the specific requirements of the project.
Ground conditions, slopes, corners, gates, waste, construction methods and other site-specific factors can affect the quantities required.
